Jeffrey Epstein acquired a more modest island - the Little St James - back in 1998, but later purchased the larger adjacent island in the year 2016 for a sum of $22.5 million.
These photos indicate he had created development schemes to build upon the sprawling island by constructing residences, an open-air theater, an submerged workspace and a reservoir.
Visible on the blueprint is a local waterway, a waterway in the territory, marked on the bottom right.
The architectural drawing is marked up in notations in red and features a legend labelling different areas of the estate.
